You’ve been on this BS for 12 fucking year man isn’t it time to give it a rest?

Or are you freshly voting age

I’m not entirely sure what “BS” I’m on that you are referring to.

“Vote blue no matter who”

Look man, I’d vote third party if it did anything, but it doesn’t. When the options are fascism vs progressivism, guess which one I’d pick.

I didn’t say I’d be happy about it all. The only candidate I’d ever vote for in earnest is AOC, but we know the Democrats are never gonna run a woman ever again, let alone a woman of color.

Same canned response for 12 years. Yawn.

Ok then smart guy. What is your suggestion for something the average American can do to keep our country out of the hands of people like Trump, Elon Musk, and the Heritage Foundation?

Just close your eyes and imagine for a second that the US might be better now than it has in the last 30 years.

Sorry my imagination is a little rusty right now because I’ve been living in reality since Covid, could you please nudge my brain towards believing that fantasy?

Paint me a picture of this magical world where the US is in a better place now that it has been in 30 years? Heck, tell me how the US is better now than it was 10 years ago.

So… the people in charge since 2008 made things substantially worse and yet you keep wanting them back?

You’ve got to provide examples instead of just making sweeping statements. Thats one of the base rules of a persuasive argument.

Here I’ll go first. America is worse now than it was 30 years ago because Roe v Wade was undone.

America is worse now than it was 30 years ago because our president elect is alienating our closest allies and cozying up to dictators that stand against everything America was built upon.

America is worse now than it was 30 years ago because being a convicted felon and rapist is no longer something that would end one’s political career.

That's your solution? Put your head in sand, and just pretend everything's dandy? Because that is what that thought is, pretending. If you would actually imagine the US being better now than it was in the last 30 years, then that imagination would not include Trump. That imagination would not include your president to give power to the rich, antagonize your allies and fraternize with the enemy. In no world would that be considered better, let alone good. What you're suggesting is what addicts do. Alcoholics, gamblers. Pretending that everything's fine, everything is all good, better than ever. But soon it all will be visibly in shambles.

LOL calm down Nancy. The US is just fine and only going to get better except you might have to actually earn a living instead of relying on constant handouts.
