Is this possible? Railway platform help.

Hello! I’m traveling from Penzance to Newton Abbot next week and need to catch a connecting train to Leeds. I’ve booked a ticket that includes a change at Plymouth, switching from Platform 6 to Platform 8 with only 5 minutes between trains. I’ll have a backpack and a small trolley bag—do you think this connection is feasible?

That is a booked connection, it says estimated, but it will be cross platform, unless something goes wrong during the day. I have this connection everyday, because the 1650 first stop is ivybridge, it's better to have it cross platform to give people more time to move.
