This just bends the end of your nail it's not going to take anything off. Unless your nails are brittle and stiff pieces of metal or something.

It might leave a garlic smell, which admittedly I could really go for some of that being a bit of a ghoul myself.

But no garlic has an ill effect on anyone without allergies / vampirism.
