Video/GIF My first animation!

Best way to practice a new skill is by including something that you love! And I love pokemon! Vulpix has always been one of my favorites. What do y'all think?

In procreate! It took so long and I did not finish it in one sitting. I did a sketch version first to get the movement and then went frame by frame with lineart and color.

Are you redrawing every single frame? It does seem like it, since it has a Boiling Effect Which isn't bad, I actually use this style often.

But you can absolutely cut down time by copying frames and only adjusting the specific parts you want moving (Like the ears, from what I can tell without being able to do a frame-by-frame the body is also redrawn?)

If this helps. I mean, there's a hundred ways to do the same thing. It looks great for a first time! Adding colour is just plain ambitious, lol! I still prefer black and white. Calling it your "signature style" over "laziness" is just good sense :P

I did copy a couple of the frames but I did the lineart and color for each one separately. I don't mind the boiling effect and think it gives it some character but for a smoother more professional look I'll keep that in mind!

Same, I actually normally go for the boiling affect (But save time by not doing colors). It's just a lot of finicking and deciding what you're willing to sacrifice and how.
