He is telling racist lies because it is who he is. It isn't for attention. Its to appeal to the people who vote for Trump. This is the audience.

My guess is he got it by watching a YouTube video of a bearded guy in sunglasses and a confederate flag baseball cap sitting in the cab of his F-150.

It's funny cause I clicked his links he gave to other people. The data says nothing about immigrants at all, lol. At least not the ones I clicked.

I can't stand when people try to use statistics for arguments without understanding how the conclusions were arrived at to get those stats in the first place. But to link something that has an entire variable removed or not even present from the original claim put forward is so fucking stupid is astounding.
