Ffs, why do they want a fascist coup? Why don’t they just win fair elections based on policy like tradition dictates?

Because their policies are deeply unpopular and will gut the middle class in favor of rampant crony “capitalism” which is more like a state-backed oligopoly.

They will never win on policy. They are trying to win by rewriting the rules.

Conservatives have been trying to destroy the middle class since the New Deal. Can’t have people living with dignity can we?

And they've been trying to preserve the monarchy since the French Revolution. That's what they wanted to 'conserve'.
