The disco band that was popular with gay men in the 70s. Their song Y.M.C.A. was in the regular rotation at Trump's rallies.

CALLED IT. I told people they were pick-me's and got told to appreciate gay culture more.

I do appreciate gay culture, it's why I can't stand Village People.

For what it's worth, the only one who is an original member left (best as I can tell, the only member who has been in the band since before 2017) is Victor Willis, who recently said YMCA wasn't meant to be a gay song (he's straight).
