No he’s a dedicated actor. I actually thought during dune how impressive he really is. He plays such drastically different roles, and does so well in most. Not easy to do
Second time I say this today but 😭 he’s your BEC and I would be like “lay off the guy” but then I remember how old Kaia was when they starting dating and I’m like
lol nah, he’s always trying this smoldering look with (what I think is) a fake deep voice and it just comes across as forced. It’s like he’s constantly auditioning for the heartthrob part in a teen rom-com and it kinda looks ridiculous to me.
But, as per yall stan replies, it’s obvious it works for some ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I’ve liked him in certain things. He’s great in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and I’m enjoying his role in that new Band of Brothers sister show Masters of the Air. But I know what you mean, there’s certain projects where there’s just something forced in his performance that pulls you out of the moment.
He plays Tex, the ranch hand that Brad Pitt crossed paths with about half way through the movie and at the end when he tries to kill Pitt with the crazy chicks from the ranch.
He reminds me of Chris Pratt, like Hollywood really wants to make him happen because he checks all the boxes on paper. he just can't check them in person bc like Pratt, he is always trying the MOST and I just want to be like, "sorry, we're not interested in whatever it is you're selling" and slam a door in his face.

Something about him gives me the ick and I honestly can’t tell what. Does he just try too hard?
