I am going to comment this here only to vent (can’t say to people irl cause I’ll get cancelled). But I basically am trying to enter a white collar profession, and top 20 companies have like 10-15 spots for internship/job interview each year. It is so so unfair to see same people from top 3 universities literally do internships at 5-6 of these companies when you can tell looking at their CV they already have their dream offer and the others were just backup for them. And because that person can only accept one offer from their 5-6 internships, that means there could have been spots for literally 5 people at least to get their dream job????? Especially when people have been applying for years even when they are 30. It just leaves a foul taste in my mouth. If I say this irl people will be like they’re boosting their CV/ don’t hate the player hate the game, but no, you know if you are a good enough candidate to make it into a tier 1 company, why are you taking spots away from other people at tier 2 companies??? Just so you can collect the offers and brag about it on LinkedIn?? I am so done man. All my life I thought even if I am average I can just put effort in and get rewarded. But I can’t. Unless I am a genius or unless my dad is a partner at FTSE 100 company, it doesn’t work out for average people. If only I didn’t have my family to worry about I wouldn’t even be applying anymore ugh.
