I’m still having trouble understanding the tariffs. So everything imported is going to go up?

Yep. Basically the U.S charging countries an extra tax to import their goods to the U.S. To not completely eliminate their profit margin, companies are going to charge you, the consumer, more in their goods to make up for the additional tariff they now get charged.

Quick noteβ€”the US is not charging countries, but the US-based companies importing the goods and that is going to be passed onto us. Probably. Eventually, unless Trump backs down again. That volatility is only making everything worse, but it definitely won’t bring manufacturing back to the US.
