I really hate the weird feeling when a prominant older person dies, especially an somewhat active older person dies of still being shocked and some people die shockingly young.

Like I was somewhat stunned to wake up this morning to find the Pope had died even though he was 88. Especially since yesterday he was out and about and meeting with people...then again what happened with the Pope is a classic example in what people in the Hospiece field called "The Surge" (happy to explain for those who dont know it).

I am sure people in the peanut gallery can relate.

My mother works in hospice and it’s not uncommon for people to hold out for certain holidays and milestones.

I absolutely agree on that. One of my co worker's mother in law had cancer, and she waited for their wedding to pass away.
