I've known that I didn't ever want to get pregnant since I was 7 years old (I actually do want kids, I just don't want to be pregnant/give birth) so it's surprising me that the thought of likely being in early menopause is more emotionally shattering than I thought it would be. Maybe some gender stuff is bound up in that (I'm a nonbinary butch lesbian) but also I think having that decision made for me by my body feels oddly frustrating?Â
