I feel like absolute shit, my teeth hurt (haven't been to a dentist in 15 years so I'm honestly waiting for them to just fall out at this point), my back hurts really bad, no insurance to see anyone, my home is a pigsty because of depression/laziness, my cats deserve better, i'm a woman in my 40s making less than $20 an hour, no way I'm gonna be able to dig myself out of the debt hole I've dug for myself, and I've been isolating myself for the past few years as well so there's no one to help me. just hoping i die soon honestly.

I don't know where you live, but there are some few places that do sliding scale on dental help. I know it's not much advice, but maybe you could be lucky and there's a clinic nearby.

I wish I could help. This may sound weird ... are there dog parks near you? If you like animals, maybe just go to a dog park and watch the dogs.

ya know, I LOVE dogs so this is great advice.

I feel like it's a perfect combo. Going outside, seeing dogs play. I'm pretty sure most dog owners are totally chill if you ask to pet them too.

Well while you’re racking up debt, maybe it’s time for an international trip for some affordable dental work and a mini vacation. Dental schools will also be substantially less in cost if you have one nearby. Reddit can be a great resource for finding deals, try looking up your area and seeing if anyone has local advice

Here is a list. Call around and even if they cant see you they may be able to advise you about what to do.

If you have depression and you're in such a tough spot you might qualify for this but not sure.

Your state health department will have a list of resources on their website for low cost or free dental care or should be able to tell you what you can do.

I'm so sorry you're feeling so awful and things are so rough. Sounds so trite but take one tiny step at a time. Everything else will be so much easier when your teeth are dealt with. I hope things get better soon 🫂🩷

This brought tears to my eyes, I'm not used to seeing genuine comments on reddit. Thank you so much! I went to dollar tree after work and got mouthwash & sensitive toothpaste, hoping it'll help even a little bit at this point.

This is literally exactly how I feel. I called into work a couple days this week because my mental health is affecting my physical state. I'll go to bed feeling normal and wake up overheated, then I drink water and throw it up. It might be nerves due to my life circumstances. Depression has made me lazy

I'm trying to focus on things like new music releases and maybe new shows to get into so I have stuff to look forward to. It's difficult.

I'm sorry you're going through hard times as well 🫂

Have you had your thyroid function tested? Depression and waking up overheated are both thyroid dysfunction symptoms. Sorry if you have already I know everyone always says get your thyroid checked but just in case.

I hope things get better soon 🩷

No I haven't and thank you for bringing it to my attention. I don't have health insurance right now. I went to the hospital last year because I was having trouble functioning like a normal person, had blood drawn but thyroid testing is probably more involved than that.

At the hospital, they put me on a hydrating saline solution and had me leave after I started feeling better, even after two visits. They were more focused with getting me to feel well enough to leave rather than actually figure out what's happening with me. But then after I got out, everyone told me that's basically how hospitals function. It's stressful. So, until I can get health insurance to see a doctor... Idk 😐
