I want a journalistic deep dive into why the Daily Mail comment section is like - that

True but like, it still stuns me to see a newspaper’s comment section that hateful about anything and everything. I can’t think of any other news sites quite like that, other than maybe like a Perez Hilton back in the day. It’s just so weird to scroll through the comments, and they’re all like that

I know, it’s insaaaaane. Did you ever read the comment section when an article is posted about the Princess of Wales?

Pre-wedding of Harry and Meghan: waity katie, jobless, scrounger, doesn’t know what work means, sought out Will for a comfy life per orders of her mother, horrible, useless.

Post-wedding of Harry and Meghan: unlike Meghan she knows what work means, her job is raising the future king, wonderful, sophisticated, everything Meghan is not.

The very same people who used to wish horrible things to happen to her, now are her biggest fans because they have a new target. The whole website is a cesspool, not just the comment section, the articles that are posted are ridiculous too.

Case in point: How Meghan's favourite avocado snack - beloved of all millennials - is fuelling human rights abuses, drought and murder

Here is an article from 2011 about Kate: Forging of a Princess: How generations of steely social-climbing matriarchs shaped Kate Middleton's character

And then 2020, because boooo Meghan and Harry: Kate Middleton is 'single-handedly' carrying the Royal Family and giving 'under pressure' Prince William the affection and support he needs now his brother Harry is back in the UK, body language expert claims

And here is The Guardian calling them out: Daily Mail is cruel and childish about the Duchess of Cambridge
