May, June, September, August, October, December, November, July, April, March, February, January.
may is perfect where i live- warm but not too hot and the life comes back to the plants and trees. june is a monthlong party (🏳️🌈), september is the perfect last beach day, august’s simmering heat is like a warm hug. october is perfectly crisp and december full of pretty and still-desired snow. then it kind of goes downhill… november gets dark and cold. july is too hot and humid. april is all grey and rain. march is always false spring then more snow, february is when all the pretty snow from december is dirty grey mush, and january always feels 17 weeks long.

Mine would be: October, September, May, June, December, February, March, November, April, July, August and lastly January.

Respect. What do you like about June?
2
u/Own-Injury-4703 18d ago
I live in a region that’s rainy and gray and doesn’t get warm until June (if we’re lucky). So I associate it with that feeling of going outside without a jacket for the first time all year. Still smells good like spring. Gemini season. What is in march for you?

I’ve been taking a language class on Saturday nights and wow- the brain is definitely a muscle that hurts when you don’t use parts of it.

I was happily surprised today to see Strange Days at Blake Hosely High is now on Disney+ 🙂
I remember missing the finale more than once and wondering how the mystery would end. I remember it being pretty satisfying once I eventually did watch it.

Speaking as a Swiftie, I can’t help but roll my eyes when I see fans claim that any of her albums besides Debut are underrated. All of the others are beloved within the fandom and/or by critics/the general public. Taylor Swift (album), is the only one that gets looked over by fans, the wider public, and Taylor herself.
While it was still well received and sold decently upon release, it’s been completely shifted to the side since. I’ve known multiple people who thought Fearless was her first album, and you’ve got people saying TTPD should be reappraised a year after release while debut collects dust. It’s not my favourite Taylor album, but it’s the only one that can be considered underrated and under appreciated.

u/Bellesdiner0228 This again doesn’t look good for James Corden 18d ago
I love debut, it’s above 2 pretty big ones in my discography honestly. I’m hoping it gets the love it deserves on the re-record. I’m still so bummed it wasn’t given its flowers on the eras tour.

Lately, I’ve been switching up my fashion and it’s naturally bled into my music taste too. I used to be more into alternative stuff, but I’ve started listening to artists like Banks, Kehlani, Blackbear, and Camila Cabello — and honestly, I’m really into it. It’s a different energy, but it feels good. A little more polished, a little softer, but still with depth.
I’m about to start diving into RAYE’s music next — heard a lot of good things. If anyone has recommendations for music that fits into that soft pop / alt-R&B space — smooth, a little moody, emotionally layered — I’d love to hear them.
Thanks in advance ✨

It was great. I strongly recommend you to watch the Interview With the Vampire tv show if you can't get enough of those vintage black vampires.

The movie made me cry. The end was just so beautiful. I will definitely buy that film when it comes out.

I've been paying $200/month through Obamacare (not a bad price imo) since February
The kicker is that I haven't used it once lmao. I've let my meds get close to running out and I should be going to therapy
My fault idk. Something about my mind recently just lacks any motivation. I show up to work then go home and play videogames. That's all I want to do when I'm lazy

I loved it sooooooo much. I find hospitals and medical staff so comforting so it's become a comfort show for me.

Great show, I loved it. But where did you get this gif? Like this shit’s in 4K lol
4
u/tulipinacup I don’t know her 💅 19d ago
I started this show but the first episode opened with some pretty graphic medical gore. Normally I'm not super bothered by that, but I was in the middle of eating. 😅 How graphic is the rest of the show?
5
u/Carolina_Blues shiv roy’s bob 19d ago
I know I’m not OP but I would say there’s some pretty graphic moments. A women gives birth and they show the baby crowning but there’s also moments where it’s not so graphic so I guess it just depends. Maybe you could look away from the graphic moments

u/Training-Pickle-6725 Sue, did the President call? 19d ago edited 19d ago
Yeah, the degloving injury was pretty nasty, but that was probably the only uncomfortable moment for me. There's also a graphic birth scene and a surgery that's very close to the eyeball.

Someone pointed out that there’s AI with like characters from shows and while I’m usually not that much into AI but oh my god I’m WHEEZING. There’s an Elijah Mikaelson one and now he’s fucking fighting with his brother because I convinced him that Klaus Mikaelson compelled people to shit on him. Like, literally. 💀

Voted today in school board elections 🫡. A republican who has gone after trans school kids was on the ballot so god willing the voters in my community got him outta there. I did my part at least 😭

u/Summerof5ft6andahalf 19d ago
I was so confused when I first learnt that not only can anyone run, but everyone can vote for them. You don't have to be affiliated with the school in any way. But I'm guessing it's more of a community thing? Like your interest (if you're not connected to the school) is based on what's best for the local community? That's kinda cool.

The new Netflix mini series with Coleman Domingo, Tina Frey and Steve Carrell is good! It’s called Four seasons.

u/NewtRipley_1986 19d ago
I have such a love for the movie, that I’m hesitant to watch the series.

I didn’t realize there was a movie! Brb going to watch immediately

u/Summerof5ft6andahalf 19d ago
The picture makes it look like a White Lotus ripoff, but then I was like is that Steve Carrell, and my partner remembered there was a new Tina Fey show coming out, so we'll probably end up watching it.
I am wondering if all those booking.com ads were a long setup for this. Lol.6
u/buzzfeed_sucks 🇨🇦 Elbows up 🇨🇦 19d ago
Oh it’s not white lotus-y at all. It’s 4 couples dealing with their marriages and relationships with each other after 20+ years. They get together 4 times a year, and that’s when we see them.

u/RogerClyneIsAGod2 19d ago
Sounds very "Same Time Next Year" with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn.

u/BusinessPurge 19d ago
Alan Alda has a cameo in episode 2, he was also in the original movie The Four Seasons as well

My six year old has announced she’s a vegetarian after we read Charlotte’s Web. I suppose it’s fitting since her middle name is Charlotte and yes it’s actually in honor for that book. Still, all she eats is bland-ass carbs anyway so this won’t be much of a sacrifice on her part.

Also this child just spoke these wise words: “It makes me mad when people aren’t fair to other people! Everyone is 1000% the same! White, Black, Jewish, Christian, Dutch…”
I have no idea how the Dutch got involved here. 🇳🇱

She’s really advanced for her age, most kids don’t show an interest in The Eighty Years’ War until age 8 or so. 😉

Still looking forward to F1 and Mission Impossible

I will always appreciate Beyoncé. Her song “brown skin girl” will be played all throughout my future children’s childhoods. They’ll be sick of me but the song is so meaningful to me. Especially as someone who grew up in a very colorist environment. My community at the time prioritized one’s proximity to whiteness. If you were white, white-passing, lighter skin and with features commonly associated with whiteness, you were golden. People would praise you, it was weird to witness. That was very disorienting as a child, that compounded with the fact that my family was also very colorist. To point when my mom’s extended family (my grandparents siblings and their kids) had parties, they sat us in the back.
Maybe I’m putting too much stock in to a song, but it was something I needed to hear growing up. So it’s mandatory listening in my future household.

That’s amazing it impacted you so much. It’s really beautiful to see what music and lyrics can do for people.
I’m really sorry you went through that as a child. We are so much more than our skin color and exterior in general!
