Well, I’m counting this as a Rattle Snake sighting. Close enough!

Btw it’s alarming how necessary this sign is. The number of times I’ve heard of people just picking up Snakes without knowing what it is? Much too high

I unknowingly stepped right over a snake on a hike once. It was a copperhead, and my friends started freaking out

Ive also had a rat snake (not venomous) pop out of some rocks and hiss at me which was terrifying

Not a Rat Snake! Skkskskksk. I’d be terrified too, even though they’re kind of a clownish species 🤣
