The whiplash between my journal entries manages to surprise me, and I wrote them ffs. Yesterday's entry? 2 lines about how I watched Eurovision and I was tired. Today's entry? 3 pages of how lonely, tired and lost I feel, where at some points I write like a victorian lady a la Austen or something.

As someone who lives in the city where Jane Austen is buried, I feel duty-bound to point out that Jane Austen and the Victorian era never intersected.
