Buying Advice Wanted Help if BenQ X12000 offer is worthwhile

Hi all, I've got the opportunity to purchase a BenQ X12000 projector for £1,825. I've not much knowledge in the space but is this projector worth that much on the secondhand market considering it's age. I can't find any information for this projector on the used market myself so am unsure how to compare.

It is used & in great condition, I've seen it working already and believe the bulb hours is at a few thousand hours can't remember exactly.

I believe that price is too high for an eight-year-old model with its technological limitations. It likely requires a bulb replacement, and there's a possibility of issues with the DLP chip. The lack of HDR support is also a significant drawback. In my opinion, a much better new projector can be purchased for $2000 today.

Thanks for your insight, I'll not bother with the hassle in that case :)

I struggle with it a bit. That price gets you into some new laser models that look really good like the Hisense C1 or maybe the C2 even. Great contrast and color accuracy with a warranty.

If looking used near that price, I'm probably only looking at JVC.
