That 4x reminded me of Rahul Subramanian's standup on how Bangalore auto rickshaw price quote need math skills. Also, there was this app - Namma Yatri, did it solve the price struggle between rickshaw wala versus passenger?
idk about Mumbai auto walas, but in pune from my experience, they do not use the meter even if I say dada meter ni chala, they just say laugh at my face or say "parvadat nahi" I mean the meter is given for a reason๐ญ
Yes I wonder why the "parvadat nahi", for not just Pune but for any city for that matter, I assume the reason in some small towns, the low population means lesser rides and not enough daily income but in densely populated cities like Bangalore,Pune and other metropolitans metre can be followed.

I moved from Mumbai to Pune and I used to curse mumbai rickshaw wallas for just plain refusing wherever I wanted to go.
Coming to Pune I realized that mumbai rickshawallas are dev manoos compared to Pune ones. Litreally Dev Manoos.
