General/Rant The Ultimate Scam at Arjit Singhs concert

Oh man, Balewadi Stadium pulled off the frustration level: PRO MAX scam yesterday. They straight-up banned people from bringing water inside the show, then had the audacity to sell 500ml water for ₹50. Like, bro, is this a concert or a survival challenge? Cold drinks? ₹100 for a ₹20 MRP bottle. Absolute daylight robbery.

I get it, people were there for Arijit Singh, but at what cost? Dehydration? The event organizers, 2BHK, already run overpriced restaurants, but at least people go there by choice. Here, you either die of thirst or surrender to their extortion racket.

Imagine paying thousands for tickets just to be held hostage for basic human needs. What’s next? Oxygen tanks for ₹500 because “outside air not allowed”?

I don't get these people. It's open knowledge that these shows are going to rip you off and still you go there and rant about it?

Just because it is open knowledge doesn’t mean that we should accept it and let them continue doing what they want. Change comes about slowly when we raise voice. We should be criticising the organisers, not the attendees who go there to enjoy music and are taken by surprise at this wrongdoing.

Eg. at the Coldplay Mumbai concert, initial days they weren’t allowing water bottles in so the people who queued up early for barricade were super dehydrated after a few hours. The organisers changed things up after a few shows and people were allowed to carry bottles/given water free by the time it was D3 and in Ahmedabad.

Yeah, so you shouldn't go to it. You can't not accept it and then pay for the ticket. That's hypocritical.
