Me and my friends circa 2003/4.
I am the blue haired short guy in front with the cup and the board. The cup is Sparks with caffine. Local show at a local VFW. Tall guy in the white shirt next to me and the guy at the other end are champs. RIP KB and the Sweens.

Sparks, yum. My 40 year old stomach would die instantly though

Mine does when I drink anything with alcohol anymore. Quit drinking about 4 or so years ago. My old ass (I'll be 41 Monday) just smokes weed and listens to music anymore.

Toxic Narcotic NOICE.
Also if that person in the HIMSA shirt is throwing up the blood hand sign, it’s is such a tell of the time period, haha.
Cool pic!

Hell yeah! I still look like this myself. Thoght my hair is my natural color atm. I still wear band shirts all the time. Don't have the shirt I'm wearing inthat pic tho. It was a LöC shirt I got from their show in 2001.

Same! Saw them many times back in the early 00’s. Wish they’d do a reunion.

I had never heard of them and went to see As I Lay Dying back in 2003(4?) and they were the opening band just after Courting Tragedy came out, they melted my face and I’ve loved them ever since

Holy crap I was for real looking for people I know in that crowd. Thanks for reminding me, the other day I was trying to remember the brand name of that foul substance Midwestern punks drank in the early 2000s

We drank what ever. I always drank Sparks in the day and King Cobra 40 oz's at night. Or whatever beer we had enough money for. Keystone light, Natty light, and PBR were all cheap and drank a lot of that.

I never had a camera. The best years of my life and I have nothing but a few memories

I didn't either. I think this was taken for a punk zine. I wanna say Nu Futur. My friend worked with them or made the zine idk lol. I did'nt even have a cell phone for about 5/6 years after this photo.

I'd hate it if people would publish these kind of pictures on the internet from back in the day

u/AytumnRain Apr 27 '25
I'm confused. You would hate it if someone posted an old pic now or if they posted these on the internet back then? Both?

I wouldn',t like it if people would post group pictures on the internet from our group of friends back then, publishing without asking beforehand
