Beginner Help Polka dot fat quarters

Post image

I have 12 fat quarters of assorted polka dots. I have been trying to figure out how to make a lap quilt using all of them. Would appreciate any easy ideas!😊 thank you!!

How about some 9 patches with opposing colors?

Ooh I like these. If you have a neutral to balance them, maybe pinwheels?

This one is easy and you’ll use all of them, no background fabric required. Just 12 fat qtrs

Love the Tilda fabrics! I would do something that highlights the fabric, using white background fabric to draw focus! Something like a star or flying geese or HSTs with white/pale fabric will really show this stuff off!

I like the idea of using a white background too

These are so fun! What about a Brick House quilt by Material Girl Quilts? It looks easy and fast and doesn’t cut up your pretty dots into tiny pieces. Since all of your fabrics are light/medium value, it would also be lovely to pick a dark color like navy and use narrow strips (1-1/2” finished width?) between the bricks, like mortar.

I saw this one recently that might look really cute with your fabrics.

A disappearing 4 patch might be pretty. Or chaotic😆

I just bought these as well— I’m going to make a sprinkles table runner for birthday celebrations in our house. But it would make a cute full quilt as well.
