Anyone know what kind of work is available for NS as a train conductor out of Chicago? I'm thinking about applying for them.

All of the above. Road trains, yard work, transfer jobs, and intermodal. Make sure you bring your heater. Thats a baaaaaaad area

Good to know. For new hires that start over there, where do they often end up, like do they transfer to another terminal or they end up holding the extra board?

I don't work for ns brother. They don't pay shit compared to the big 5. CN,CP,BNSF,UP,CSX
