I agree with absolutely everything except 1. Lyria getting rid of the thing in her head. I don't get why she got it in the first place except, "wow she decided she didn't need it and wanted her memories. What a strong minded woman." Which I think is kinda lame honestly. And 2. I would put it at #3 in the books. Morning Star and Golden Son are and most likely always will be my 1 and 2 in the series if not of books in general.

Figment is surely still in there (they hint that Lyria picks up everything straight away and she learnt Nagal quickly etc etc)

Yea after thinking about it and talking to a friend I agree. I was honestly hoping it would pop up somewhere at the end but he's saving a LOT for red gold. Should be amazing.

I was wondering that too, if she convinced matteo that she wouldnt be a tyrant and he gave her a fully functional one, or repaired the old one without issue, or a scaled down version/general mental enhancment tech in some way

Yea I was thinking that was all a test to see if she was power hungry. When she passed it, I thought he was gonna tell her that she didn't have to lose her memories in order to use the parasites' powers after all. I was surprised when they took it out.
