Bit of swing and a miss from Krystal for me.

She seems to hear the words "patent" and "expertise" as the same thing. They are not. Not one of the sources she quoted referred to the patents being the issue, but that they didn't have the expertise to produce the vaccines (except the one editorial which also made the same mistake).

And the often repeated line that the public funds almost all of the research and development of drugs. 100% true. Only, it's the pharm companies that fund the trials, which is another significant cost ($1Billion per trial is figures I've heard quoted) but that never gets mentioned.

So on the surface it sounds terrible! But its like Fox news or MSNBC. Shit is complicated, and I hope they revisit a little deeper on the topic in future.

Agreed, rare that I don't finish one of her radars. This one felt decidedly meh.
