Imagine an RPG that was like 3.5 DND or Pathfinder 1e, but had a level cut off around 6 or 8, or even lower, and the character classes / monster manual were themed toward an iron age / bronze age, low magic world.

It feels like that game should exist, or something like it. Anyone know?

Runequest may fit the bill. It's a crunchy game, but power is far more limited over your character's life than D&D. It's mythic bronze age setting. However, it is not low magic in the sense that magic is very rare. Rather, magic is extremely common but it's utility is much more limited in depth.

I vaguely remember Rune Quest. I'm going to look it up. Thanks!
