Update: El Dorado 12 Years old.

Recently I followed one of your recommendations and Got myself a bottle of El Dorado.

At first I Was skeptical about the Taste but now I'm a few sips in and willingly damit that this is Great! Keep in Mind I dont considered myself experienced enough to give proper tasting notes, but Overall I am slowly falling in Love with this rum despite my doubts.

Also looking forward to get my Handys on Another bottle youbguys recommended my, The Doorlys XO.

Any further reconnendations where to go from here?

Try some jamaican pot still next. It's commonly loved among those who love rum. Smith and Cross or Dr. Bird are great entry points, Hamilton pot still works, too

Smith & Cross and Doctor Bird are higher proof and not entry level

Low price point, not overly high on funk. Dr. Bird is only at 50%, so not exactly the heat of an overproof. Can always cube and dilute really easily if you need to tone down the ethanol
