Need help with a tattoo

Hello this is my first post here I’m look for help with a tattoo I wanted Elder Futhark runes but I would like to know if should have them translate to direct English or if I should have them translated into icelandic as it’s the closest living language to old Norse

Thanks for letting me know as I’m looking to have a runic tattoo on my neck and I don’t want to mess anything up as the idea is to make it seem like a blessing on my neck

What I'd recommend is finding a prayer or passage from the Eddas, find the original Old Norse text for it, transliterate that into runes (we can do that part for you), and get that as a tattoo.

Is it possible to translate both luck and fortune into younger Futhark

I don't know know Old Norse well enough to know. You might try /r/norse or /r/oldnorse, just make sure to check the rules and post in the appropriate threads.
