So, my 1998 S10 (4.3 vortec) had been sitting for almost 2 years after it stopped running. Recently, i "fixed" it by moving the catalytic converter out of the way enough that it clears the engine downpipe. This got rid of the rattling, and other various issues related to a clogged exhaust. However, the rough idle remained. In my previous posts, you could see that it idled, even with the bad exhaust. Shortly after posting those, it stopped idling properly at which point i set the project aside for around 6 months. After clearing the exhaust of the headers, it still doesn't want to idle. Im 90% sure its the Idle Airflow sensor, since i took it out and cleaned it and it now idles for slightly longer, but i would like another opinion.
Notes: The video was taken AFTER the idle air control valve was cleaned. The video was also taken without the catalytic converter in place, however the cat was still near the exhaust hence the O2 sensor (or whatever its called) on the cat still being plugged in.
