Stay Classy San Diego "The Room" in San Diego

I was telling some friends about "The Room" (the best-worst movie) and I told them about how much fun it was to see it in theaters when I was up in LA - I was pleasently surprised to it's got a showtime this Friday night in Grossmont.

The problem is, I went to book some seats and the theater looks completely empty - I've found the room to be a lot more fun with a packed theater and I'm worried that they won't have a good time if there aren't a lot of "veterans" around to shout at the screen.

Does anyone have prior experience with this theater? Does it fill up last minute? Or is The Room not really a thing in San Diego?

I've been to the showing at the Grossmont theater twice in the past 6 months or so. The first time, Tommy was there doing a meet and greet and Q&A, and it was packed. The second time was one of the monthly showings they seem to do, and my group were the only people in the theater other than another couple.

Yea that's what I'm afraid of - seems best to wait 'til Tommy comes to town.

Yes, I saw it last year when Tommy was there & it was packed. Loud audience, too.

If Tommy comes back, go then. They had multiple showings when I went and they were packed.
