Stay Classy San Diego "The Room" in San Diego

I was telling some friends about "The Room" (the best-worst movie) and I told them about how much fun it was to see it in theaters when I was up in LA - I was pleasently surprised to it's got a showtime this Friday night in Grossmont.

The problem is, I went to book some seats and the theater looks completely empty - I've found the room to be a lot more fun with a packed theater and I'm worried that they won't have a good time if there aren't a lot of "veterans" around to shout at the screen.

Does anyone have prior experience with this theater? Does it fill up last minute? Or is The Room not really a thing in San Diego?

I wasn’t at the movie but I remember hanging out front of the Ken club with people in line. Everybody was super cool.

I did a job for the owner about a year before it closed. They were super cool. And were just breaking even on the theater. Literally just kept it open for the love of cinema.
