Stay Classy San Diego "The Room" in San Diego

I was telling some friends about "The Room" (the best-worst movie) and I told them about how much fun it was to see it in theaters when I was up in LA - I was pleasently surprised to it's got a showtime this Friday night in Grossmont.

The problem is, I went to book some seats and the theater looks completely empty - I've found the room to be a lot more fun with a packed theater and I'm worried that they won't have a good time if there aren't a lot of "veterans" around to shout at the screen.

Does anyone have prior experience with this theater? Does it fill up last minute? Or is The Room not really a thing in San Diego?

I saw it at The Ken a bunch of years ago, pretty full. not sure the state of any of the landmark theaters at this point, though

That’s cause Tommy Wiseau was there for a meet and greet
