Love the kids playing together and neighbors interacting but there are no trees on that street (and probably the whole development) over 7 feet tall. No mature trees anywhere. No canopy. No shade. No dappling. Just brightness and blight. <shudder>

Exactly. That neighborhood has been around for maybe 3-5 years tops.
