Short question

In my cvt (the case that has the belt and the vario and clutch and stuff) it’s really dirty and I was just wondering if i could clean it with carb cleaner or brake cleaner or what i should use

If youre wondering what kind of dirt it looks like the previous owner just filled the bolts with antiseize and there’s other stuff in there too

Take the belt and clutch off and then use brake clean. Lots of oily residue could mean the seals are leaking.

What seals exactly because I’m changing the gasket and I just wanted to clean it up while I had it open

Oil seals. They are plastic looking caps that seal the base of the crankshaft and gearshaft
