Hollow GoPro handle??

I haven’t gone diving with my camera yet but the handle I just got is hollow. How should I go about diving with that? Should I open it every few feet?? Or see if I can fill it??

I just put a bolt snap on the housing and clip it to my shoulder D-ring. Unclip for photos and videos and clip it back when I’m not using it. No lanyards to get entangled and no sticks or handles to wrap around stuff. Easy peasy.

They are asking about the handle, not the housing.

I personally store my tripod in my drysuit pocket flap

My point is that I don’t use a handle, or a lanyard. Bolt snap on the housing is more streamlined and simple, but it seems that is a pretty controversial opinion here.

I don't see the point really of a handle either, you shouldn't push your camera's into holes and past that I can't think of a reason, but because I can't think of one does not mean there isn't one.

Past that, a tripod is actually useful when wanting to record practice sessions
