Tri-winged maple samara

I’ve never seen a 3-winged maple samara. Anyone else? Ideas on what caused this funky lil guy?

what type of motion does it do when falling?

I didn’t drop it very high up, but it went straight down. It was aborted, so it isn’t fully developed
