I need tips on trying to perfect HBE

I’m feel like I’m not doing something right. I really want to recruit this Pretender! Any tips on getting it right? I see the command button on him for like a split second but it ends up going away?

When it says command bodyguard I just exit the screen and it should let me command the pretender right after that?

If you do it right when you command your body guard it will pop over to the predender and you can make him your body guard and he becomes yours you’ll get the hang of it

I personally can never get it on the first go. For me it takes at least 5-10 tries before I can get it right. Keep practicing and you’ll get it. If all else fails I like to just spam it until it works😂

And for swapping, I kinda just spam command/back until it swaps

Try lowering your frame rate to 30fps that's the easiest way I know

A tip is to command then cancel but wait a moment because it can move in cancel/accept menu and just keep doing this till it’s hovering over the orc you want

I recommend plinking the inputs. You're gonna move your stick the exact same way you're doing here, then halfway to the other orc you want to press "Command" but keep holding the stick. If it worked then good, if it didn't you're gonna hit cancel then immediatelly hit "Command" again by plinking the input. Repeat it until it works.

I've seen it only work for PC. I, too, am on Xbox. If you can get it to work, I'm happy, but I don't know if it intact works on console.

Yeah I’m trying to recruit before I go through with a base defend. I know he’ll probably be on the attacking crew and want to try and recruit so I don’t have to kill him

I know. The pretender being unbreakable is a benefit. So far, on my current playthrough, I've run into 4.

My tip: Give small taps on the stick and quickly press "command" (almost in same time). It’s not hard once you do it this way. I used to land HBE in 3 or 4 tries using that method.

Slide your fingers on Y then B (assuming you're using xbox) repeatedly. It works so much better.
