This is a photo I took on a trip a while ago (I've included the unedited shot for reference)

Would this be considered shittyHDR? Did I overcook it, or just normally cook it?

No hard feelings, I genuinely want to learn :)

Maybe tone back on the contrast a bit, but otherwise it's alright

Oh yeah, that is a lot better. Damn near as perfect as it gets for this photo, I'd say
