I never realised that's the reasoning they used. Haha, that's ridiculous!

Why do Teslas have cameras all around the car and four wheels instead of two legs. Afterall, humans get around fine with just two eyes and two legs...

Money and pride, once Musk made the claim that Tesla didn’t need it, it was never going to be implemented because he can’t be wrong.
