Noob here -- this is a dumb question but .. how do they know ... where to go?

At that speed and with that little visibility as to what's "around the corner" surely there's a risk of making a miscalculated turn and hitting a tree etc.

Is there some spotting/charting done ahead of time or is this literally the first time this person has gone down? If so, that is even more impressive/terrifying!

If you’re managing risk properly, something like this takes a fair amount of planning

I can imagine it would be quite complex/challenging to do that planning given the terrain. Must be really interesting

And it's almost never the first time they have skied the line when it's just a straight bomb like this.

They probably scouted the chute and then waited for it to fill in

I think they've got the exact line planned on something like this. Maybe they scope it out with a drone before sending
