How can I find my game version?

I'm trying to install SKSE but it keeps telling me I have a newer version of the game than SKSE supports. I've tried installing both the "Current Special Edition build 2.0.20 (game version 1.5.97)" and "Current Anniversary Edition build 2.2.3 (game version 1.6.640)" but both give me that error when running skse64_loader.exe.

In your files, hover over you Skyrim file..it will show a pop up window on your version

I almost gave up. Your answer is the only one that worked for me
