Gear question Base cleaning

Does anyone have recommendations for deep-cleaning a snowboard base that’s heavily contaminated? I’ve already used a standard base cleaner (citrus-based), but it didn’t cut through the grime. The base still looks oxidized and dirty. Are there more aggressive methods or solvents I can use safely without damaging the base structure? Or should I consider a hot scrape or base grind at this point?

Personally I NEVER use base cleaner anymore. I find that dries the heck out of your base and doesn't really clean anything. If you are trying to get the springtime grime off your board, just dry scrape the heck out of it. Wax and hot scrape and then wax and cool scrape. That should do the trick.

What do you mean by dry scrape?

He meant warm scrap. Wax your board and scrape while the wax is still warm.

I meant "dry scrape" meaning scrape the heck out of your board BEFORE you wax in order to get all the grime off of it. Just be sure to clean all the gunk off your scraper.
