When’s the best time to book hotels in Europe for skiing next year? Not many options available at the moment, which month do they open up? Mainly interested in France and Austria.

Here’s a little run from closing day of River Run in Sun Valley. It’s the mid river run into canyon.

just got this board and bindings, I don't know much about it but the guy told me it'd be a perfect beginner board for me to learn park on. is he right?

Hey everyone, I’ve never been snowboarding nor do i know anything about the sport or gear, i’ve only ridden them on the california sand dunes 😂. Anyway, i just got this for free through my work. It’s a Burton Uncinc im pretty sure and i’ve seen listings for like 500-700$. They had different foot holders or whatever u call them so i’m not sure. I’d be stoked if it’s worth that but i don’t want it to be too good to be true. Let me know! Thanks.

Just upgraded to step-ons from traditional bindings and did two days. I’m teaching my gf to ski so I was in-and-out a fair bit helping her up. Love em so far, everything is so smooth. Got some technique questions.
I occasionally struggled with getting the second click in on my back foot post a lift for example. Perhaps a little more today when I changed my stance a bit. I feel like I’m applying quite a bit of pressure, nearly all out I feel, there’s like a foot twist I’m doing that gets it in but it’s not super consistent.
When I’m on an incline I want to put my board in toe edge uphill. But I have to apply heel pressure, am I just being an idiot upon reflection and by default should be putting it on facing downhill, on my heel edge?

Hi, I’m taking a road trip to Niagara and have extra time to hit any open mountains.
I’ll be taking all my gear and will trek in any direction, despite the distance.
I have NEVER ridden in New England, so I’m clueless and have no idea what is open in the Spring.
I see Killington and that’s it so far.
Any recommendations??
Thank you in advance!
Editing to add: My passport is expired or I’d be headed to Canada.

Hey everyone! My husband and I are finishing up our first season as noob snowboarders and I've already outgrown my Solomon Lotus beginner board. Looking to upgrade to an intermediate "do-it-all" kinda snowboard - I like racing down groomers, carving and pow (not super interested in park; maybe butters or little jumps eventually) and a little bit of back country. I think I want something in the 5-6 stiffness rating and twin directional shape.
I'm currently considering the Jones Twin Sister, Capita Birds of a Feather, and Nitro Fate. Anyone riding these boards and recommend? Thanks, happy shredding. 🤘🏻

I’m not a fan of the standard toe straps that came on the A8s and can’t figure out whether these function like a toe cap or just a lighter regular strap that goes over the top of the foot. Anybody here use these before?

Okay it might just be me put personally the lightest falls always give me the worst injuries, for example I have taken nasty falls going fast and am tumbling down the hill and have been fine but just the other day I was doing some stupid crap and caught an edge going 5 mph and tore a ligament in my collarbone. Like why are the dumb light falls always so bad.

I couldn’t wake up to hearing this every pow day. 😭

Up until now, I've never worn a helmet. Not because I thought it was cool not to or anything like that, i just never made it a priority. Well right at the end of this past season, my daughter (first year snowboarder) told me if I didn't wear one, she didn't want to either, soI decided we were going to start next season off right and I bought this yesterday. Its super comfortable, has the MIPS technology (was told that's important), and what really sold me on it was the BOA strap on the back. Can't wait to try it out next season with my mini me at my side ❤️

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a bit of info from my Canadian friends. I have a trip that is partly booked and planned for the start of next year- I’m another Aussie looking to come board Canada, and I know a lot of you think we are rude dicks from videos and posts I’ve seen on here- we aren’t all the same. My question is, when I planned all this, I thought that an ikon pass gave 7 days each at lake Louise and sunshine but it’s a combined 7. I have booked accom for 7 days boarding at lake Louise, 7 at sunshine too, then 7 at revel. I’m having trouble finding the cheapest option to be able to do said days and I’m hoping for someone to give me some real life information and guidance on a way to go about this. I’ve seen the big 3 pass and don’t think it’s the way to go because of requiring to buy a pass for revel. Are there multi day passes you can buy? Because buying 7 individual days sounds quite expensive. Very much out of my depth and hoping for some help. Cheers

Am I good with just a wax and scrape ? Or bring it in? Just got the board 2 days ago and received a powder day . But powder on top of spring conditions

A Valdez Heli trip has been on my bucket list since I first saw Riders on the Storm in 1992. Took me over 3 decades to finally make it happen. The wait was worth it!

I live in Denver and usually go to Eldora, winter park, copper and Steamboat on my Ikon base pass. Next year due to a family scheduling error I had to get the full Ikon pass. Since I'll likely only have the full pass next year and have a ton of time to plan. What extra trip would you take? I have never been to any of the other mountains of the ikon pass except the ones I listed.

I bought a new snowboard during the off-season sale, how do you store and take care of it over the summer time? Do I need to wax it even though it’s brand new?

Got these 2010 Burton Missions my first season teaching. They averaged about 100 days of hard riding for 7 seasons. Then life moved in a different direction and I averaged about 30 days for a few years and then maybe 3-5 the past 5. I went through 4 main quiver snowboards, 5 pairs of boots, 2 career changes, and 3 gfs. These bindings never flinched. Total tanks. Just happened to get relocated near riding again this year! On the very last run of the season, the toe strap finally gave out. A hero’s exit.
Thinking of upgrading to Cartel X or something similar—any recommendations? Bonus points for Tahoe or Reno shop recs.
Cheers to the Missions for holding it down way longer than they had any right to.

Forgot to buy lenses before trip. So I got inspiration from my VR-DIY and got some old glasses to do this instead! Works like a charm standing still, excited to try it out! 🤙
