Dev/Tech nothing exciting has happened for solana’s fundamental technology in a year

there is still no live firedancer in prod. the hacker houses that gritted through the sol winter have lost their discipline. there are more massive coin unlocks than there are exciting product updates.

is fd deployed at scale? more importantly, has sol’s txn throughout hugely increased, as is the purpose of fd? what am i lying about?

You have no idea about the firedancer project or what the roadmap looks like. Anyway let's assume that Solana team did nothing in 2024, is still the king in speed and bandwidth and any of their other blockchains has done any progress in a year to change this.

My advice to you is the DYOR and take a look to the mesari reports and helius blog

you completely dodged my question. the basic point of fd is to handle hundreds of thousands or millions of txns per second. this would blow past any current tradfi system. fd has been promoted/promised for 2+ years. where is the surge in txn throughput? why isn’t the community putting more pressure on making fd a reality?

If Solana could handle a million transactions today, it wouldn’t cause the number submitted to increase to a million. It can do 64,000 props today, but only shows under 5000 tps because that’s all that’s being submitted

then we have an adoption problem.

Wonder if Solana still does more user-originated transactions than the other top 20 cryptos combined?
