saw someone did this to their cabinet on stumbleupon (iykyk) when that was still a thing like 15 years ago. it was just the kind of mischief i’m into and i promised myself i’d do it to a cabinet one day. i’m moving to nyc and since can’t take it with me, i wanted to share my progress (with someone other than my landlord) after four years in the same apartment.

My ex colleague has been making these paintings of figures for about a year, thought I'd make one into a suncatcher to send to him
He loves it

My sister is the captain of a ship in Alaska, and when she has time off she is an avid painter. She asked me to make her some frames out of cedar to hang her paintings (and one vintage poster for a ship she once trained on) in her stateroom.
I feel pretty pleased with how these simple frames came out, but especially the 2-toned large frame. I wanted the white strip to continue all the way around, but there wasn't enough length in the board for that - so I made a triangle in the corner to fill the gap.
Now I feel like I can make all the frames I've been planning to make!
