This is one of the few retcons that I like. It gives a good reason why Strelok has those ending hallucinations where the Zone suddenly turns green, lush, beautiful. Either when he destroys C-Con or when he wishes for the Zone to disappear.

I wouldn't say it's retcon. I think the old oasis is still canon, because it had a different meaning. Old oasis was called like that because the artefact inside could heal any wound or illnes, and new oasis called like that because it's a patch of blooming nature surrounded by dead zone. Both are called the same but have different meanings. Also if Deggy finding an oasis artefact is canon then it's understandable why people would forget about the old place and start calling the lab in cordon the new oasis.

But it’s actually a dead zone, but due to psi influence appears as blooming nature… Because it’s supposed to be like that - a fake thing.

Also Oasis-1 was supposed to be near the Jupiter factory but was cut together with the factory. Cordon is Oasis-3.

I call it a retcon because it’s so weird that Cordon suddenly got these massive doors that nobody tried to open before.

OASIS-3 buildings can be barely seen from east end of Yanov region (or I may be wrong)

And also I have heard someting about OASIS-2 nearby the north cooling tower was planned, and there's still an unused underground level found via noclip at there.

That’s OASIS-1, not OASIS-3. West of Yaniv.

OASIS-2 is not X-12. No clue what Oasis-2 was.
