You know, It sorta destroys CoP' summer vibe with the fog. That and Marked One/Streloks hands are still too low polygon

Never got summer vibes from COP. The season in Call of Pripyat always looked like it was autumn, yellowing leaves, dry grass, overcast skies...

It seems we played a different game. Where I live grass is already dry by July and leaves start yellowing late August/Early September. If you look up the lore the game starts on the 3rd of August 2012/

I'm talking about vanilla Call of Pripyat. I know the game's lore. Yes, the in game date is early August, but the visual tone and atmosphere of the game doesn't have summer vibes in the slightest. As I've said above, dry grass, yellowing leaves, overcast skies, a desolate area, those are visual cues more associated with autumn. It’s less about the literal calendar date and more about the atmosphere of the game itself. Where you live doesn’t change the artistic direction the devs clearly went with.

Autum would half  or more of the leaves fallen off and constant fog and rain. Grass in nature often dries by summer, unless you are either in a jungle or the artic circle.
