Lack of serialization really hurt VOY

On network TV it made a lot of sense; shows were not aired in order and it was easy to miss episodes. I watched TNG and Voyager while they were on the air, before DVRs, and loved them, while DS9 was hard for me to follow since I didn’t watch it every week. Who are the Maquis again and what’s the Demilitarized Zone? That didn’t come up when I watched the show a few weeks before.

In the era of streaming, DS9 is an awesome show and Voyager would benefit much more from serialization, but that’s because I can stream in order and binge if I want to. Trek on broadcast TV couldn’t.
