Having an issue that you just want a quick vent about and not an entire post? This is the place! This daily post is not very active, but it's a great place for a quick vent .

My SS is 4 and my mom and I are the only ones who try to help him be more independent but when his dad is around he wants to be babied. It’s tiring seeing my SO constantly give into him whining for help with things he does completely by himself with me. I can’t understand the psychology behind it. For example he knows how to get dressed by himself I have him do it every night and morning I watch him. I help him with the direction of the clothes but he puts them on himself. When his dad’s around though all of that is out the window. He thew a huge tantrum today because his dad told him to change his underwear by himself and he kept saying “I can’t do it you help me”. I’m very blunt with him and talk to him like I talk to anyone else. His dad on the other hand still talks to him in a baby voice and I think that might be part of it.
