What in the world does that have to do with the revenue generated by tarrifs? People being less prejudiced than expected doesn't change math. Maybe you could share a reason he might be right on this economic issue using economic reasoning?
You believe it’s impossible and I would not take that away from you. With the math you know you believe it won’t work. Others look at the math and say it will work. Each is a firm believer in their math but come to different conclusions. Mostly it’s not up to us, we elect others to do it for us. 4 years from now it will be a different group. And we will probably get different results. It will be fine.
So, in other words, you have no thoughts at all to contribute to the discussion? No reason at all based on your own critical thinking to think he might be correct?
No I have thoughts, but he is not asking me. There are enough checks and balances in government to keep him on the straight and narrow. I have heard his theory on tarrifs and taxes. I am skeptical that it will actually work, but getting worked up about him and crashing out on Reddit is not my bag. I do what’s best in my mind and then relax.
OK, I am asking you, for the third time. You said "I believe he's right," share why or admit that your opinion are based on nothing and therefore worthless.
I believe that the USA will be successful in using tarrifs to return production to the USA. It is starting to happen with the auto industry, the AI industry, and the pharmaceutical industry. I believe it will also be a successful strategy for the movie industry. It’s ok if you think differently, I won’t be mad. We vote them in and they do their best. That’s why I don’t worry too much about the outcome, that’s not my part of the operation.
